Král Zikmund píše všem leníkům, rytířům, panošům, purkmistrům, radám, měšťanům a celým zemským obcím i obecnému lidu zemí a měst Budyšína (Budissin), Zhořelce (Görlitz), Žitavy (Zittaw), Lubáně (Luban), Lobavy (Lobaw) a Kamence (Camentz): jistě se k nim doneslo, jak nelidské činy viklefisté a jiní kacíři v Čechách páchají, ať již jde o vraždy, žhářství, loupení, plenění a jiné nepravosti, při nichž bylo zabito či upáleno mnoho zbožných křesťanů. Viklefisté hodlají takto i nadále postupovat vůči všem, kteří se odmítnou připojit k jejich kacířské víře. Tato hrozba, které se dotýká duše, těla, cti i majetku, by měla pohnout všechny dobré křesťany k tomu, aby se jí včas postavili. Z tohoto důvodu se také dohodli všichni leníci, rytíři, panoši a města v knížectví vratislavském (Breslaw), svídnickém (Sweidnitz), javorském (Jawer), ve vikpildě Středy (Newenmarckt) a Namyslova (Namsslau), že povstanou a potáhnou proti kacířům, přičemž mají v plánu se spolu se svým hejtmanem Albrechtem z Koldic (Albrechten von Colditz, irem houptman) do následující středy 21. května shromáždit na hranici Slezska a Čech. Král se rozhodl, že jim také přitáhne na pomoc, a proto nyní sestavuje vojsko, s nímž vyrazí přes Moravu Slezanům na pomoc. Proto také vybízí adresáty, aby se zachovali podle své cti a svých povinností vůči Bohu i křesťanské víře, a společně s urozeným Jindřichem Rumpoldem (Heynriche genant Rumpold), vévodou v Hlohově (herzogen zu Grossen Glogaw) i s celou svou hotovostí (staří i mladí, jízdní i pěší) bez meškání také vytáhli do pole proti zmíněným kacířům. Obdrží za to odměnu od Boha, čest od světa a poděkování od svaté církve; rovněž král jim to bude vždy pamatovat v dobrém.

We, Sigismund, by the grace of God king of the Romans, for all time, commend to each and every lord, knight, vassal, mayor, councillor and citizen in general, as well as to the entire region and the common people of our land and the towns of Budyšín, Zhorjelc, Žitava, Lubán, Löbau and Kamentz, our dear and faithful ones.
We have no doubt that it has come to you what inhumanity the Wyclifites and the heretics in Bohemia have perpetrated in many towns: murder, arson, robbery, destruction and many other disastrous acts. In this way they have destroyed, burned and grievously put to death many pious Christians and they intend to do likewise wherever there are people who do not wish to join with their heretical faith. This business concerns souls, bodies, honour and possessions and it should rightly move all Christian people to resist them at this time.
All of the vassals, knights and towns of our princedom in Wrocław, Świdnica, Jawor, Środa Śląska and Namysłów have united on this. All who are able, young and old, wish to march towards them and against them and they plan to be in the field on the border with the noble Albrecht of Kolditz on the following Wednesday 21 May. On this account we are also moved and we shall gather all of our force which we can assemble and will march through Moravia and we intend to join together with those from Silesia.
Therefore, we desire also to remind all of you of your honour that you are obliged to Almighty God, the Christian faith and to us, to take this matter to heart which concerns souls and that you would rise up and draw into the field with all of your might, all who are able to stand, young and old, on horse and on foot, together with the high-born Heinrich called Rumpold, duke of Glogow, our dear uncle and prince, as well as those aforementioned from Silesia, in order to resist and exterminate the aforementioned heretics. Make no delay in this. By such action you will win a reward from God, honour before the whole world, gratitude from the church, and we will never forget this goodness. Given in Trenčín on Trinity Sunday in the thirty-fifth year of our Hungarian reign, in the eleventh year of our Roman reign and in the first year of our Bohemian reign.
